I was TWEET long before Twitter was around. I weighed a whopping 4 lbs when I was born; with my big eyes and tiny body my Dad took one look at me and said, “You look like Tweety Bird”. From then on I was known as Tweet.
Tweet loves to EAT. I know you wouldn’t guess it by my size but I do. I’ve always loved food. A couple years ago I transitioned to professional food blogger when I launched my healthy slow cooker recipes & more blog FitSlowCookerQueen. I am also the Curator for @Top_LA_Restaurants which has afforded me the opportunity to eat amazing meals all over Los Angeles. I have literally had the TRAVEL bug my entire life…by default. As the daughter of a 30-year IBM Sales employee (aka I‘ve Been Moved), I moved 9 times before I graduated high school. I was born in Atlanta, GA then we moved to Springfield IL, then to Marietta, GA then to Edison, NJ then to Brookfield, CT then to Solon, OH then to Naperville, IL then to Paris, France then back to Naperville, IL…AND THEN I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL folks. 3 days after I graduated my family moved to Morgan Hill, CA and later that summer I left for Tucson, AZ. After graduating from University of Arizona in Tucson (bear down) I spent a few years working in the Silicon Valley before landing in Los Angeles. I’m now in my late 30s and I’ve been in LA for 12 years now, the longest I’ve ever lived anywhere. While I will forever be a Midwest/East Coast girl at heart, the West Coast is now home.
